Halal 360
This page explains, plainly, what Halal 360 can tell you about a product and what it cannot. Please read it before relying on the App for an important decision.
Halal 360 is an information tool
Halal 360 helps you understand food products using available product, ingredient, additive and certification information. It is not a Halal certification body, it does not issue religious rulings, and it does not guarantee that any product is Halal.
Always consider the original product packaging and relevant certification when making your final decision, and consult qualified Islamic scholars for definitive guidance.
What the classifications mean
Every result reflects the information available to the App at the time you check a product — not a verified religious verdict.
Available information supports a Halal classification.
The available information may require further checking.
Available information indicates a prohibited source or characteristic.
There isn’t enough reliable information to determine the status.
Unknown does not mean Haram. A missing ingredient, source or certification record means the information is incomplete, not that the product is prohibited.
An additive is not the whole product
An additive can carry its own classification, but that does not automatically determine the Halal status of the complete food product. The full picture may also depend on other ingredients, processing methods, the source of each ingredient, certification and manufacturing conditions.
Product information can be incomplete or out of date
Product information is retrieved from third-party sources, including Open Food Facts, a collaborative database maintained by contributors. Availability and completeness vary by product.
Manufacturers change recipes, suppliers and certification without notice, and the same brand can be formulated differently in different countries. The packaging in your hand is always more current than any database.
Certification
When certification or labelling information is available, Halal 360 presents it alongside the product information. The absence of certification information does not automatically mean that a product is Haram — it may simply mean that no such record was available to the App.
Madhhab settings and personal preferences
Selecting a madhhab changes how the App applies its rules to what you scan. It is a convenience feature reflecting general differences between schools of jurisprudence, and it is not a substitute for a scholarly opinion on a specific product.
Personal additive preferences highlight ingredients for you but do not change Halal 360’s underlying classification.
Nutrition information
Nutrition facts, Nutri-Score and NOVA processing level are provided for general information only. They are not Halal indicators and are not medical or dietary advice. If you have allergies, intolerances or a medical condition, always check the physical packaging and consult a qualified professional.
Scanning accuracy
Barcode scanning and ingredient-label text recognition depend on image quality, lighting and the condition of the packaging. Text read from a photograph may be incomplete or misread. Please review what the App has recognised before relying on it.
