Halal 360
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the Halal 360 mobile application (the “App”), provided by Burak Creative Labs (“we”, “us”). By downloading or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
What Halal 360 is
Halal 360 is an information tool. It helps you understand food products using available product, ingredient, additive and certification information. It is not a certification body, and it does not issue religious rulings.
Classifications shown in the App are generated from the information available to it at the time you check a product. They are provided for reference and do not replace the original product packaging, official certification information, or qualified religious guidance.
Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use the App. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you may use the App only with the involvement of a parent or guardian.
Your account
The App does not require you to create an account or provide personal details. It signs in anonymously so that features such as product reports can work. You are responsible for the device on which you use the App.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the App for any unlawful purpose, or in breach of these Terms.
- Submit false, misleading, abusive or infringing content through product reports.
- Attempt to interfere with, disrupt, reverse engineer, decompile or gain unauthorised access to the App or its systems, except where such restriction is prohibited by law.
- Scrape, bulk-extract or resell data obtained through the App.
- Present output from the App as an official Halal certification.
Product reports and user content
When you submit a product report you confirm that the information is accurate to the best of your knowledge and that you have the right to share it. You grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to use, store and process that content for the purpose of reviewing it and improving the information available in the App. We may edit, decline or remove reports at our discretion.
Third-party information and services
Product information is retrieved from third-party sources, including Open Food Facts. Availability, accuracy and completeness of that information vary by product and can change without notice. We do not control these sources and are not responsible for their content. The App also uses services from Google, including Firebase and AdMob, which are governed by their own terms.
Advertising
The App is free to download and use, and is supported by advertising. By using the App you agree that advertising may be displayed. Where required by law, we will ask for your consent before personalised advertising identifiers are used, and you can change that choice from Settings inside the App.
Availability and changes
We may add, change, suspend or discontinue features at any time. We may also require you to install updates in order to continue using the App. We do not guarantee that the App will be available without interruption or free of errors.
Intellectual property
The App, its design, branding, the Halal 360 name and logo, and the Halal 360 additive reference data are owned by Burak Creative Labs and protected by intellectual property laws. We grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the App for your own non-commercial purposes. Product data retrieved from Open Food Facts remains subject to that project’s own licence.
Disclaimer of warranties
The App is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that classifications, ingredient details or certification information are complete, current or error-free. Please read our Disclaimer, which forms part of these Terms.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Burak Creative Labs will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss arising from your reliance on information presented in the App. Our total aggregate liability in connection with the App will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid for the App (which is zero) or EUR 50.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
Consumer rights
If you are a consumer in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you retain the statutory rights available to you under local law, and nothing in these Terms affects those rights.
Termination
You may stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms or use the App in a way that harms other users or our services.
Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Your continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws applicable at the place of business of Burak Creative Labs, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. If you are a consumer, you may also rely on the mandatory consumer protection rules of the country in which you reside.
